“I started the search to find a backdrop for my presentation. I discovered the
historicA.A. Maramis Building was once used as a stable in 1809.
The robust spirit of a horse stands out to me as a symbol of majesty, endurance,
and elegance. I reminisce there was once a horse named Salvatora,
adapted from the Latin Salvatore which carries the feminine form of ‘savior’
definition “savior” or “protector”.
She represented a majestic being and heroine in my story.
The selection of this venue has been significant and nascent to this collection’s inspiration and process. Intrinsic to the Brand is my passion for juxtaposition and finding challenge to explore the unexpected. I wanted this collection to be an amalgam of the historical context of the venue and a flower I found intriguing,
the Bleeding Heart Flower. A flower that is native to east Asian regions and
known for its soft curves and vivid pink hues, its delicate beauty and name
represents both love and emotional tenderness. The collection harnesses these themes to evoke an essence of vulnerability with a commanding presence.”
